New!

lots of new things going on craftwise at the haus Luna.

Hats Off!
Mr. Roboto and I continue to get along.

Here are a couple baby hats, knit flat and seamed. They have 2 more friends not shown. It takes about 15 minutes of set up and knitting on Roboto to make one. They actually take longer to seam, I think! Guess who these hats are for?

I can increase and decrease on Roboto now, so I think I'm ready for an actual sweater. I have some inexpensive Wool of the Andes swatched, and Ann Budd's Handy Book of Sweater Patterns just waiting. I can't wait to see how long it takes me.

I'm on a roll with hats. I finished handknitting the Gretel Tam and I don't look too dumb in it.

Moths Suck
I'm going to be selling handmade 'Moth Guard' potpourri sachets in my shop in a few weeks! It will even come in cute little moth (butterfly) printed organza pouches!

LetterBoxes
Besides knitting machines and potpourri, I'm going to start LetterBoxing soon. Lime and Violet's podcast turned me on to it.

Pretty much it's a treasure hunt for a small box someone has hidden. They post clues or maps to it on the internet. You, armed with nothing more then a simple compass, a journal book, pen and personal rubber stamp (preferably handcarved) and go find it. If you find the letterbox, a stamp and small journal will be inside. You exchange stamp impressions and you are on your way. It's like a passport, but without the jet lag!

I love this idea. It's outdoor exercise, low tech and really low cost (unlike geocaching where you need a GPS), a scavenger hunt, and the handcarved stamps have the craft appeal. Hopefully I won't lose a finger carving!

Love the Gretel Hat, I want to make one too. You look great in it.

The knitting machine is awesome, and you're whipping up some hats for that sweet charity.

New products in your shop?!?! Too inspiring..

Hat looks awesome, and look at you and Mr. Roboto cranking out those hats! You'll be mass-producing sweaters before you know it.
