Gross food

This is for Monkee. I'm so sorry for the rest, as if the recent Ox limerick wasn't enough to subject you to.

So on my trip last year to Australia, I had a chance to try 'bush tucker', or wild gathered food.
This is a LIVE finger sized witchity grub.

Grubby meets his doom.

OK, wasn't really that bad. Besides the unusually crunchy head bits.

It wasn't a dare! I'm an adventurous eater. I figure if some othe culture frequently eats it, it won't kill me to try.
Honesty, it didn't taste bad. Imagine almond flavored yogurt. I just wasn't expecting to hit crunchy parts.
