Who needs sleep?
It was Flint's Birthday yesterday. He got this:
Handmade socks and a guitar pedal. The socks fit, but could be taller next time.
I also finished my Orangina scarf:
It was a fun pattern to knit, but it appears my base yarn was lighter worsted then the one in the model. The fabric on the moss st section seemed a bit loose. Then again, it's a scarf and you don't want it too dense.
Here it is on, with my stylin' raincoat and blotchy morning face:
The main yarn was self-dyed Plymouth alpaca from my swap pal Donna, and the fiber I spun for the ruffle and border was from Black Bunny. I had a ton of yarn leftover too.
Insomina season has hit. Hubby had a few bad nights and now he's asleep and I'm awake.
Cats are not effected.

Ooo..is that a wah-wah pedal? (I have no idea about guitars, but my rocker brothers always pined for a wah-wah pedal, whatever that is!)
Love the Orangina! And you even made it orange.
It looks great under your raincoat, but I have to ask,how did you get the background on that picture to look like a school picture?
Happy b-day to Flint. Nice socks. I love your Orangina! Of course, orange is my fave color. Great knitting!
Well, it's not a 'wah' sound, but it's the same kind of hardware. It makes his bass sound all funky, like Bootsie Collins (or imagine the bad 70's porno music 'bonk-chicha-bow' sound).
The background is my shower curtain, and I used a 'halo' effect with my camera software to camo my ghetto-tastic bathroom.
What a lucky hubby! Those are great presents.
The Orangina scarf looks great. That was quick!
Smashing socks! Lucky, lucky Flint! Your heels look gorgeous, I'll have to tap you for some heel advice, mine suck.
Orangina is v. groovy!
Orangina looks ace! I love ruffles on scarves.
Totally with you on the insomnia thing. I was awake all night on saturday (althoug it was partly the student neighbour's fault). In our house kitties do not sleep either though!
